Katie shares her own experience of trying on and wearing wigs

Hair loss rarely comes with much warning and you can be thrown into a whole new world without really knowing how it all works. We created The Bald Box as a means of providing the full 'kit list' of items you need. Each box contains a wig, a wig stand, a wide toothed comb, a night cap, coconut oil, rosemary water, an eyebrow pencil and an eyeliner. These were the things that Katie, our co-founder, discovered she really needed in order to get out and get on.

As with fashion and interiors, there will always be differing price points, style and colour options when purchasing a wig. Our focus has been sourcing modern, stylish wigs at an excellent price and making these easily accessible. All of our wigs are available online with easy returns so that our customers can try them on in the comfort of their own home. Some of our customers are happy with one wig, wearing it until regrowth begins. Others try a wig and then buy different styles and colours for variety. Some of our customers go on to invest in more expensive wigs from other suppliers, confident that they are happy wearing a wig on a daily basis.

As always, we are keen to support our customers in finding what they need and encourage anyone seeking support or a specific look, to get in touch with us. We have helped many customers find the look they want and it is extremely satisfying knowing that we have made a difference.

Synthetic wigs are easy to clean. In this video, Katie demonstrates a simple method to refresh your wig.

Don’t forget to gently rinse your wig before hanging it on your wig stand. They dry relatively quickly but you can use a hairdryer on its coldest setting. Straightener temperatures vary so we no longer recommend using them on our wigs.
